How do I care for my skin before bedtime?
It takes approx. 3 minutes to read this article

Skin care is a basic routine that you do throughout the day, especially when it comes to your complexion. The skin on your face is exposed to various external factors, including wind, varying temperatures, UV rays, and pollutants in the air. Take care of it also in the evening, before going to sleep. It will thank you with a beautiful and fresh look, without blackheads and imperfections.

Steps in evening skin care

Korean women have a very elaborate skin care routine. Due to lack of time, you don’t have to follow all of these steps, but it’s worth taking a bit from their ritual to keep your complexion looking fresh.

1. Cleansing

We hope you don’t need reminding about the evening makeup removal! It is very important because all the impurities settle on the surface of your foundation. Your skin produces sebum during the day and the excess also needs to be cleansed

Use a special biphasic makeup remover – it has a more oily consistency, thanks to which it collects the remaining cosmetics perfectly. For the eyes, on the other hand, use a lighter product that will also dissolve waterproof mascara and eyeliner. Do not rub your eyes with the cotton pads, but instead gently place them on your eyelids until the product dissolves. Then remove the product from the skin in one firm motion

Cleansing also means washing your skin with a gel or foam adapted to your skin type. If you have combination or oily skin, use a fine scrub once a week to cleanse your skin pores. It is also advisable to wash your skin with boiled water without chlorine, which can dry it out too much.

2. Nourishing serums for face and eyes

For evening care, it is a very good idea to use a nourishing serum. It makes it so that the active ingredients can better penetrate into the skin. On your complexion, you can use a quick-absorbing oil. Under the eyes, in turn, apply a cosmetic, which will be lighter, for example in the form of a gel. It is worth to have in it hyaluronic acid, which retains water in the skin and moisturizes it perfectly. Pat the serum gently with your fingertips.

3. Facial massage

A daily face massage in the evening can bring surprising results! First of all, it relaxes muscles that must have been tense all day. Through gentle, stroking movements you will improve blood circulation in the skin, so that active ingredients can reach the skin cells faster

The complexion will become more oxygenated, and above all visibly rested. Perform the massage in such a way as to pull the skin upwards. Massage around the mouth and eyes in circular motions. Massage while applying a nourishing cream to your skin

4. A Nourishing Night Mask

Using a cream mask with nourishing ingredients is also a good way to nourish your skin. You do not need to apply it every night – such care performed once a week is enough. The product should have vitamins A and E, which fight free radicals, and macadamia or argan oil extracts, which in turn make the skin more elastic

Under the eyes, apply collagen sheets previously cooled in the refrigerator. After the night, remove the mask with milk and wash your face as usual, i.e. with a foam or gel face wash. You can also pat the rest of the mask before bedtime and wash your face with a gel when you wake up.
