Spring is a pleasant time. The last snows have melted and nature comes back to life. Everything around is reborn and in bloom. Just as flowers and trees need the right conditions and nutrients to bloom, your skin needs regeneration to shine in the spring. The cosmetics market enchants us with more and more new products, but we can save money and bet on home treatments with natural ingredients. In this way we know exactly what we put on our skin and what effect it will have on it.

Depending on the season, facial skin needs different care. In the winter, when the face is smacked by cold and wind, the skin needs protection, so greasy creams are used. In summer, on the other hand, skin exposed to the sun needs more moisture, so moisturizing sunscreens are used. Matching your facial care to the weather definitely helps to keep your face in the best possible condition. The care recommended by many people is the natural one, from cosmetics with a simple and clear composition. Using home beauty treatments, the composition is always known to us and we fully control what we put on our face. The following recipes are simple treatments that will support your skincare on a daily basis.

Grapefruit peeling

Peeling is a treatment that is great for the look and quality of your skin. It firms, smoothes, exfoliates and leaves the skin healthier and refreshed. Grapefruit peeling is ideal for oily skin and skin prone to eczema. People with such skin have to be especially careful what they put on their face in order not to make it even worse. That is why the grapefruit scrub was created especially for oily skin. It has an antibacterial and rejuvenating effect and prevents pimples and blackheads. It is nourishing and stimulating, and on top of that, it smells beautiful.

Ingredients:

  • 0.5 cups of sugar,
  • 2 tablespoons of coconut oil,
  • 1 drop of tea tree oil,
  • 1 drop of olibanum essential oil,
  • 3 – 5 drops of grapefruit oil.

Melt the coconut oil in the microwave for about 30 seconds. To slightly cooled add essential oils and sugar (we must be careful that the sugar does not dissolve, so the oil can not be warm). Apply this mixture to the face, wait about 3 minutes and gently massage into the skin. Rinse off the remaining mixture with lukewarm water. After the treatment apply moisturizing cream. Peeling can be used up to three times a week on wet skin.

Avocado and oatmeal mask

This is a proposal from three ingredients that can be found in every grocery store. It is recommended for sensitive, irritated and dry skin – gentle and non-invasive. It has anourishing, soothing, moisturizing effect and is also pleasantly cooling. It is a great skin care after winter, when it is dry and damaged from the cold.

Ingredients:

  • half a ripe avocado (must be very soft),
  • teaspoon of ground oatmeal,
  • teaspoon of natural yogurt.

The avocado should be mashed with a fork or preferably blended to a smooth paste. Then add yogurt and oatmeal, mix thoroughly. Set aside for a while to let the ingredients combine. Apply on the face, avoiding the eye and mouth area and leave for about 15 – 20 minutes. Rinse with lukewarm water. Use up to twice a week. If needed, after applying the mask you can use a tonic and moisturizing cream.

Brightening up mask with apple and honey

Due to the natural properties of apple and honey this mask has the effect of lightening discolorations and additionally, it helps to clean the skin and remove dead skin. It has a soothing and calming effect. Honey soothes inflammation, so this mask is recommended for dry and blemish-prone skin. And as a bonus, the whole mixture is delicious and you can eat the excess for breakfast!

Ingredients:

  • a tablespoon of natural honey (the mousse should be liquid),
  • medium size apple,
  • tbsp natural yogurt,
  • tbsp ground oatmeal.

Peel and grate the apple on a fine mesh grater. Then squeeze the excess juice, add the rest of the ingredients and mix. Apply on the face, avoiding the area around the eyes and mouth. Wait about 15 minutes and wash with warm water. After this mask, it is recommended to tone and moisturize the skin with a cream.
